Do you enjoy swimming and need a summer job? Pool season is just around the corner and the Family and MWR pool is hiring lifeguards for our local pool. No matter your level of experience, if you are highly motivated to make a contribution to our community, we want you to apply. Now is the time to sharpen your lifeguard skills and prepare for the summer pool season.
Recreation Aid (Trainee-Lifeguard) NF-01
Salary $15.00 an hour
· Training position for a certified Lifeguard
· Upon completion of certifications at SwimRVA, applicant will be reassigned as a Recreation Aid (Lifeguard) NF-01
· FMWR pays for all certifications

Recreation Aid (Lifeguard) NF-01

· For those with current Lifeguard Certification
· Responsible for lifeguarding guests
· Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies
· Rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required.
· Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed.

Recreation Assistant (Head Lifeguard) NF-02
Salary $17.50 an hour
· For those with current Lifeguard Certification
· Assist manager by insuring adequate staffing of operations
· Directs lifeguards as required in the performance of their duties
· As lifeguard, responsible for the life guarding of guests at the waterfront
· Responsible for lifeguarding guests
· Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies
· Rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required
· Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed
