Youth Sports Mission Statement

To provide organized leagues and fitness opportunities for the youth of this and surrounding communities that achieves success on non competitive sports by enhancing personal, mental and physical skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship while embracing the core values of serving the children and their families of Fort Gregg-Adams.

Functional Fitness

The CYS Functional Fitness focuses on functional movement patterns to strengthen muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time. Functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability.  Fort Gregg-Adams will offer a variety of clinics throughout the year.  Keep an eye out!

Enrollment

Youth participating in Youth Sports & Fitness Programs must register at the Parent Central Services, Bldg. 10624 Yorktown Drive. Call +(804)765-3852 for more information.

Proof of age (ID card or birth certificate) and sports physical is required at the time of registration.

Sports physicals must be current at the time of registration. If the physical expires during the season, a new physical must be obtained before the expiration date. Appointment slips are at the discretion of the YSF Director. Expired Physicals will not be accepted.

All sports enrollments will include a uniform. Uniforms will either be a shirt/jersey or Jersey and socks.

Individual medals will also be provided for each enrollment and handed out at the end of the sport season at no additional cost. 

All safety equipment needed for the season is the responsibility of the parent i.e. mouth guards, shin guards, goalie gloves, and protective cups.

Any child/youth/teen who has additional medical needs such as but not limited to inhalers or epi-pens require additional paperwork that will affect sports registration timeframes.

Eligibility is extended to family members of active duty military personnel, DoD civilians, DoD contractors, non-DoD civilians and active duty reservists and/or National Guard.

Fort Gregg-Adams Youth Sports invites you to coach today's children and youth!  Training includes National Alliance of Youth Sports Coaches Certification (NYSCA), how to identify and report child abuse, CPR/First Aid.  CYS processes background checks on all coach applicants.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, please contact us today.

Coaches code of ethics

Volunteer Head Coaches receive all his/her children's sports registrations free during the season he/she coaches.

Volunteer Assistant Coaches receive his/her first child's registration free and each additional child 15% off during the season he/she coaches.
