CYS Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers Needed for Remote Learning

Fort Lee Child & Youth Services is looking for volunteers to work with

children (kindergarten through 5th grade) at the School Age Center. Volunteers

will assist students in their virtual learning environments with in an effort

to maintain academic progress.

 

Highly sought after individuals with educational background and experience

include:

1. Child Development Associate, Youth Credential, BA/BS degree with a major

emphasis on Elementary Education, Child Development, Home Economics, Special

Education or a related field.

2. Experience working with children and youth.

3. Ability to navigate virtual learning platforms using Chrome Books, Tablets

or Desktop computers.

 

All volunteers are required to meet these qualifications: English

communication skills (verbal and written); CYS-stipulated background checks;

completion of  CYS volunteer training; possess and maintain good health; free

from communicable diseases; age 18 or older; high school diploma or GED

certificate.

 

Volunteer hours are on school day (8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.) or homework time

(3:00 - 5:00 p.m.). Schedules will be determined by volunteers availability

and CYS need.
