Supervisor of the Quarter

Purpose: This quarterly award recognizes supervisory employees who exhibit exceptional performance that reflects positively upon the organization continuously throughout the quarter

Intent: The intent of this award is to promote employee recognition through subordinates, peers and/or supervisors.

Criteria: Employees nominated for this award must have demonstrated all of the following characteristics that resulted in successful mission accomplishment.

  1. Employee has a positive work attitude toward work responsibilities, co-workers, and customers, and serves as a role model for others.
  2. Employee is productive, exhibits commitment to quality in carrying out job responsibilities, and is an asset to the staff of his/her department.
  3. Employee takes initiative, and accepts and carries out additional responsibilities beyond regular assignments.
  4. Employee is consistently dependable and punctual in reporting for duty, completing assignments on time, and participating in additional responsibilities.
  5. Explain how the Supervisor is consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, looking for areas of improvement within department or area.
  6. Employee must have not received the Supervisor of the Quarter award during the calendar year and must have been employed at Fort Lee for a minimum of six months.

Nomination: Any supervisory employee within the FMWR organization can nominate or be nominated for this award.

Selection: Selection is determined by the FMWR Employee Recognition Board through use of a scoring matrix.

Submission: Nominations will be made on the Employee Recognition Program Form and submitted NLT the 1st of each following month via online form or hard copy to their Employee Recognition Board member.

Award: $200 FMWR gift card that can be used at FMWR facilities to pay for transactions (Cards cannot be used for CYS Programs).

Publicity: Marketing will recognize nominee in  the  FMWR directorate newsletter or other authorized media., plaques, pictures.
