Purpose: This award recognizes an employee or group of employees who have presented an “idea”, concept, or plan that made a contribution to the mission of their activity and/or FMWR organization that would not ordinarily be acknowledged by the other types of formal awards such as the Employee of the Month Award.
Intent: To recognize employee’s ideas that are brought forth and result in efficiency, effectiveness, and/or are financially beneficial to their activity or DFMWR as a whole
Criteria: Employees selected for this award have spoken up with an idea that resulted in added benefit to the directorate and mission resulting in one of the following:
– Created greater efficiency in workflow, employee workload, and job production.
– Resulted in more effective employee and/or work process.
– Brought about financial benefits that saved or prospered the activity or DFMWR overall.
Nomination: Any employee or group of employees, including supervisors, can be nominated for this award.
Submission: Nominations will be made on the Employee Recognition Program Form and submitted NLT the 1st of each following month via online form or hard copy to their Employee Recognition Board member.
Selection: All submissions will be recognized.
Award: $200 FMWR gift card that can be used at FMWR facilities to pay for transactions (Cards cannot be used for CYS Programs). Number of awards given out will be on the discretion of the board.
