The Beaty Theater presents live theater and has become one of the most active performing groups in the area. We offer three program styles to meet various entertainment and cultural desires.

The main-stage season produces Broadway musicals, comedies and dramas. Performances are open to the community. The 2024-2025 season runs from September 6, 2024 through May 18, 2025. Season tickets are offered at the beginning of the main-stage season and guarantee great seating for a year of fine entertainment. Tour buses are always welcome. To gain access to Fort Gregg-Adams to see our season of plays, see vetting instructions below.

Legally Blonde

Book by Heather Hatch; Music & Lyrics by Neil Benjamin & Laurence O'Keefe

November 8 - 24, 2024

    Sorority girl Elle Woods enrolls in Harvard Law School to win back an ex-boyfriend, but discovers she actually loves the law more in this high-energy, Tony Award-nominated musical. Based on the popular movie of the same name this show will dazzle you with its songs and laughter as Elle manages to defy her critiques while staying true to herself.

Performance dates are November 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 & 23, at 8 p.m.; and November 10, 17 & 24, at 3 p.m.

The Odd Couple

    This production of Neil Simon’s hugely successful comedy is gender flipped so that the lead characters are transformed into Olive Madison and Florence Unger. One friend is messy, careless, and unconcerned with order, and the other is high-strung, neurotic and compulsively clean.  Being roommates will test their friendship to the limit while delivering a load of laughs to audiences.

Performance dates are February 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 & 22, at 8 p.m.; and February 9, 16 & 23, at 3 p.m.

South Pacific

Book by Oscar Hammerstein II & Joshua Logan; Music by Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II; Based on Tales of the South Pacific by James Michener

May 2 - 18, 2025

    This classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical focuses on the romances of two Americans stationed on a South Pacific island during World War II. Nurse Nellie Forbush and Marine Lieutenant Joe Cable both find that love and prejudice can be nearly as turbulent as war. The score features such classics as Some Enchanted Evening, Younger Than Springtime, Bali Ha’i, There is Nothin’ Like A Dame and A Wonderful Guy.

Performance dates are May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17, at 8 p.m.; and May 4, 11  & 18, at 3 p.m.

Important vetting instructions to gain access to Fort Gregg-Adams to see our season of plays

    Fort Gregg-Adams conducts 100% ID checks of all individuals over the age of 18 entering the installation gates. Allow the Beaty Theater to facilitate a more trouble-free entry process for all those patrons without a military ID, retired military ID , active or retired Civilian CAC card.

    Visitors may expedite the procedure by providing the following information in order to get vetted for entry onto the installation: first and last name, date of birth, driver’s license number, expiration date and Social Security Number. (This information is required for everyone under the age of 18-years-old.)

    Call (804) 720-0163 to apply over the phone, which will allow the box office management to enter your information into our secure system.
